A Scrapbook of My Adventures
My camera comes with me almost everywhere. Not only for professional use, but for the quiet, golden moments that make life whole.
My biggest fear in life is forgetting. Forgetting a place I’ve seen, people I’ve met. I think more importantly, pictures capture a memory but they also can capture a feeling. How did this place, moment, thing make me feel.
That is something I never ever want to forget.
Oh, the places you’ll go!
Ever since I can remember, my dad had a camera and we were taking family photos. We traveled a bit when I was younger, to different National Parks all around the country. Lots of road trips (because traveling with the 6 of us is a lot). I remember we all used to gripe when he would line us up for family photos. It was a whole production, everyone’s got to stand in the right spot, smile at the right time, no distractions—and with us 4 kids being kids — it usually took a while for my dad to get a good photo.
Eventually I think he kind of gave up trying to get the perfect photo. But I don’t think I have yet. It’s a fun thing: always seeing the angle, the light, the vision.
